Virginia "Ginny" E. (Snow) Boyd, 89 of Marshfield, passed away May 24, 2017 at Life Care Center of the South Shore surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with cancer. She was predeceased by her parents Cecelia & Earl Snow, beloved husband William "Bill" Boyd, cherished daughter Virginia "Ginny Ann" Boyd, brothers John, Paul, & Robert Snow . Survived by her  sister in law Helen Fay as well as  many nieces and nephews.

Ginny was born in Jamaica Plain on December 27, 1927 and  was a graduate of Jamaica Plain High School. She married Bill on May 29, 1948 and  became  a Marshfield resident in 1962. Ginny was a longtime employee of the Rockland Trust Bank in Marshfield.  A communicant of Saint Ann's by the Sea Church, she enjoyed crocheting, travelling with her husband and dear sister-in-law Helen.. She especially loved spending summers on the South River, gardening, and hosting many parties from which lasting friendships have resulted. Ginny was always kind, accepting, and loving- her heart and door were always open for all.

Ginny was lovingly cared for by her Goddaughter Maura Driscoll Sullivan & husband Scott Sullivan and family, Charlene Driscoll Engelsman and family, Kathleen Driscoll Murphy and family, Kerry Driscoll  and family, nieces Barbara and Joan Arnott, and dear friend Maggie Dodwell. Her family would like to thank the staff at Life Care Center of the South Shore, especially nurses Candy, John, and Joan, as well as the entire staff of Cranberry Hospice.

Per Ginny's wishes, visiting hours will be omitted. A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, June 1, 2017 at 10:00am in St Ann's by the Sea Church, 591 Ocean Street Marshfield. Burial will be in the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne at 12:30pm.
