Obituary

Hart, Virginia H. (Hennigar) of Duxbury, former longtime resident of Marshfield, passed away on November 8, 2013 at the age of 93. Beloved wife of the late Arthur D. Hart. Loving mother of Sharon Roswell and her husband Donald of Shalimar, FL, Cheryl Strazdes and her husband Joseph of Humarock and Denise Stockbridge and her husband David of Sagamore Beach. Loving grandmother of Andrew, Mark, Tim, Scott, Heidi, Stephanie and Melissa. Loving great grandmother of 14 great grandchildren. Dear sister of the late Howard Hennigar. Daughter of the late Venning and Gladys (Blanchard) Hennigar. Loving aunt of 3 nephews and a niece. Virginia worked as a secretary in the Marshfield School System. She started at South River Elementary School in 1950 and later worked in Eames Way, Grace Ryder and the Super Intendants Office. Her hobbies were knitting, crocheting, quilting and sewing. Virginia was active in the Ladies Benevolent Society and a deaconess at the First Congregational Church. She was a member of the Hand Bell Choir. Virginia was also active in the summer and Christmas Fair. She was a proud grandmother of Nana's Summer Camp at the Eames Way School in Marshfield. Visiting hours will be held at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean St., Rte. 139 in Marshfield on Tuesday, November 12 from 4 to 8 p.m. A memorial service will be held in the First Congregational Church, 1981 Ocean St. in Marshfield on Wednesday, November 13 at 11:00 a.m. Contributions in Virginia's memory may be made to the First Congregational Church Hand Bell Choir, PO Box 826, Marshfield, MA 02050.
