Walter Harold Hutchinson, age 88, a longtime resident of Marshfield and Kingston, passed away Thursday, September 23, 2021.

Walter loved cheering on his children playing hockey for Marshfield and then for several colleges often traveling out of state. He enjoyed watching his grandchildren and great grandchildren play. Walter was passionate of all trains even having a huge G-gauge train setup in his yard; his father was a Conductor. He was a life-long gardener and provided fresh vegetables for his family. During his retirement he enjoyed and loved riding around in his Red Mustang. He was a graduate of Braintree High School and Northeastern University. Walter proudly served his country in the Navy.

Walter was predeceased by his loving wife Shirley (Jones). He is survived by his children Donny, Bobby, Debbie (Chapman), Kevin, Beverly (English), Kenny, and Greg and a Papa to his fifteen grandchildren (Eric, James, Matthew, Chris, Tom, Matt, Jason, Mark, Kristina, Lindsey, Marissa, Brendan, Conner, Nick, and Kyle) and five great grandchildren (Haylee, Titus, Gracie, Jacob, and Owen).

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, October 3rd at 12:00 Noon at the residence of Beverly English, 52 Foxworth Lane, Kingston MA 02364.

Walter was a huge fan on the Pan Mass Challenge sidelines for the past five years shouting "Go Bev Go" for his daughter, Beverly, riding in his name. Walter was a long-term cancer survivor.
