Obituary

Walter A. Trask, Jr., 77 of Marshfield, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 25, 2020 after a long battle with Parkinson's Disease.

Walter was born in Boston, the son of Walter and Kathleen Trask. After high school, he enlisted in the United States Air Force for four years, where he was stationed in Lubbock, TX and Fairbanks, AK.

Walter "Wally" was married to Mary Coffey on March 31st, 1979. They spent two years living in Phoenix, AZ before moving back home and welcoming their only child Shannon in 1986.

During his two years spent living in Arizona with Mary, they shared lots of great memories visiting National Parks, and taking road trips to Las Vegas and California. An avid sports fan, Wally especially loved The Boston Bruins. Shannon could always rely on him to cheer her on at her dance recitals, karate lessons, soccer games and track meets.

Wally loved his family and was always willing to lend a helping hand. You could count on him to be at family gatherings with a big smile on his face.

Walter is survived by his wife of 41 years Mary and his daughter Shannon of Marshfield. He is also survived by his sister Shirley Wencis and husband Frank of Marshfield, brother Greg MacDonald and wife Penny of St. Johnsbury, VT, sister Maggie MacDonald of South Yarmouth, and many loving in-laws, cousins, nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Wally's life will be held at a later date. Donations in his memory can be made to the Michael J Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research by visiting the website https://www.michaeljfox.org
