Unis, Walter Stanley, longtime resident of Marshfield, MA, 91, died on August 7, 2014. Born in Simpson, PA, he served in the Army as an MP at the end of WWII. He had a BA from Scranton University and a MA from Villanova University in education. He taught science first in the Philadelphia and then in the Marshfield school systems for a total of 31 years. He was also a counselor at Camp Daniel Webster and a Little League coach and umpire. He is survived by his wife, Anne (Norton); his seven children, Joanne, Mary Jeanne, Robert, Walter Jr., Mark, Stephen, and Julia; his ten grandchildren, Elizabeth, Cody, Patrick, Riley, Erin, Shawn, Nancy, Linda, Elaine, and Kaitlyn; and one great-grandchild Conner. Walter will always be remembered for his life-long love of teaching and coaching. Viewing hours and a funeral mass will be held at Our Lady of Assumption church, 40 Canal St. in Marshfield on August 13. Viewing hours will be from 8:30am to 10am, with Funeral Mass starting at 10am. Directly following the mass, burial will be at Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne at 12:30 p.m.
