Zani, Werter E., of Marshfield, died Sept. 29 at the age of 86. Beloved husband of Volga V. (Abbondanza) Zani. Dear father of Maria Hebert of Marshfield. Loving grandfather of Jason, Julie and John Hebert. Son of the late Secondo and Maria (Buratti) Zani. Werter was also predeceased by his stepmother Pia Zani. Dear brother of Sheila Zani of Marshfield. Also survived by nieces, nephews and many cousins in USA, Italy and Argentina. Werter was born in Boston and has lived in Marshfield since l956. He was a precision watch maker, and retired from Shreve, Crump and Lowe after 27 years of service. Werter was a veteran of the US Army during WWII. He was a member of the VFW Post 8345 Marshfield and the American Legion Post 88 Marshfield. Funeral from the MacDonald Funeral Home 1755 Ocean, Rte 139 Marshfield, Saturday at 8:00 am followed by a funeral mass in St Christine's Church 1095 Main St Marshfield at 9:00 am. Visiting hours Friday from 4 to 8 pm. Interment will be in the Winslow Cemetery Marshfield. Contributions in Werter's memory maybe made to the charity of your choice.
