Abbuzzese, William R., of Brant Rock, passed away on February 2, 2017 at the age of 81. William is the beloved husband of 55 years to Jean (Petipas) Abbruzzese and loving father of Denise Johnson and her husband Keith of Medway and Michael Abbruzzese and his wife Polly of Natick.  Cherished grandfather of Ryan, Kyle, Michael, Jared, and Nicole.  Brother of the late, Frederick Abbruzzese.  He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

William was a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force and worked as a Computer Services Engineer. He was a member of the Marshfield Elks Lodge and was a 4 ^th Degree Knight with the Kingston Knights of Columbus. William was also a member of the Brant Rock Association and volunteered for the Marshfield Council on Aging.  He was an avid swimmer, fisherman and loved boating.

Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, February 7, 2017 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean Street (Rte. 139) in Marshfield. Funeral from the funeral home at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 8, 2017 followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 40 Canal Street, Marshfield. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Needham
