William P "Bill" Brennan, of Marshfield, passed away on July 8, 2023, at the age of 78.

Bill is survived by his beloved, Kimberly Plummer, sister Patricia (Brennan) Gorham, son Sean Brennan, daughter Tracy Brennan.  He was the brother of the late Michael J. Brennan and Marcia J. Brennan.  He also leaves many nieces and nephews.

Bill was born in Boston to parents James W. and Dorothy (Gavin) Brennan.  He grew up in Randolph and spent summers in Marshfield.  After graduating from Randolph High School, Bill served in the Navy as a minesweeping electrician.  Following his discharge, he moved to Marshfield where he joined the Fire Department.  During his 29 years with the department, Bill achieved the rank of Lieutenant and was twice honored with the Clifford Hunt Memorial Award.  After his retirement, he served on Marshfield's Insurance Advisory Committee as the representative for retired town employees.

Bill was a member of the Marshfield Yacht Club and enjoyed boating and fishing.  He was an avid NASCAR fan and a skilled woodworker.  Each week he looked forward to Friday night dinners with friends and family.

\Visiting hours will be held Sunday July 16, 2023 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean Street in Marshfield.  Funeral procession from the funeral home on Monday, July 17, 2023 at 9:00 a.m. for a Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10:30am in St. Christine's Church, 1295 Main Street, Marshfield. Burial will be in the Couch Cemetery.
