Dear father of Marilyn Govender and her husband David of Carver, William Gilbert III and his wife Kathy of Carver, Edward Gilbert and his wife Linda of Dallas, TX and Mary Elaine William and her husband Steven of Carver. Also survived by 5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Brother of Marie Fahey of Marshfield, Francis and John Gilbert of Yarmouthport and Walter Gilbert of Falmouth. A Funeral service will be held at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean St., Rte 139, Marshfield, Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. Visiting hours Monday 4 to 8 p.m. Interment will be in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, MA.
