William Douglas Hirst died December 7, 2009 in Port Richey, Florida. He was 82 years old. A former resident of Boston and Marshfield, Bill lived in Florida the past 15 years. Bill was born in Everett and graduated from the University of Maine. He is a veteran of the Navy in WWII. He retired from Digital Equipment Corporation in 1990. Survivors include his wife Gail of Port Richey, Florida, daughter Dale of Marshfield, and son Daniel (Karen Dodge) of Tiverton, Rhode Island, sister Janet Lemay of Hollis, NH, and many nieces and nephews.
