Savonen, William David of Marshfield passed away on May 9, 2016 at the age of 78 after a brief illness. Beloved husband of the late Judith (Haynes) Savonen and dear father of the late David Savonen. William is survived by his loving sister Sandra Meda and a brother Robert Savonen and his wife Dorothy, all of Braintree, along with many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Arthur Savonen and brother-in-law William Meda.

A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, May 22, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean Street (Rte. 139), Marshfield.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Williams name can be made to the Marshfield Animal Shelter, 156 Claypit Road, Marshfield MA 02050.
