William H. Steele, 93, of Marshfield, formerly of Lake Placid, Florida, passed away on January 5, 2017.  William is the beloved husband of Mary Steele and dear father of Richard Steele and his wife Michelle of St. Louis, Missouri and Cheryl Perez and her husband Alex of Marshfield, and brother of the late Muriel Frear. William leaves two brothers, Fred Steele of Rochester, New York and Raymond Steele of Ft. Meyers, Florida, and grandchildren Chelsea, Adam, and Gabriella Perez.

William was born in Watervliet, New York and raised in Rochester, New York, where he remained until retirement.  He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, and worked as an engineer for Eastman Kodak Co. in Rochester, New York before moving to Florida in 1983.  He has made his home in Marshfield since 2010.

A private Memorial Service will be held on January 17, 2017 at Proprietor's Green in Marshfield.
