Whitmore, William T, passed away September 29, 2016 at the age of 96. Beloved husband of the late Virginia (Vail) Whitmore and loving father. He leaves behind two sons and their families, William and Deborah of Townsend, Delaware and Stephen and Shahla, of Rockland, and a daughter and her family, Wendy and Stephen Liberatore of Bourne, seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

William was born in Salem, MA. He spent his early years in Marblehead until moving to Marshfield with his young family in 1961, where he lived until his death. He served as CQM in the US Navy during World War II aboard the St. Augustine. He was a skilled professional cabinetmaker and carpenter by trade. Activities he loved included sailing and all kinds of woodworking.

Burial is private. A memorial service will be held in spring 2017.
