Zachary O. Waldon of Marshfield passed away suddenly on February 17, 2025 at South Shore Hospital. He was 49 years old. He leaves his mother, Carol Waldon, brothers Charles Waldon and Josh Waldon, son Oliver Waldon, and many friends who will miss him dearly.

Zachary graduated from Marshfield High School, class of 1993. He went on to study at UMass Boston and in 2006 earned his Bachelor of Science and Biology degree, Magna cum laude. Zachary was a recipient of the National Honor Society Award in Biology and the Ina Samuel's prize in psychology. In 2012 he earned his Master's degree in science from the Mass College of Pharmacy and Health Science in Boston.

Zachary worked in research at Children's Hospital in the field of muscular dystrophy and had 6 papers which were published in the National Library of Medicine. At the time of his passing he was working as a Physician Assistant at UMass Memorial Urgent Care in Oxford, Massachusetts.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday, February 28, 2025 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean Street in Marshfield.
