David Lee Hallett, Sr., formerly of Marshfield, passed away on June 11, 2017 at his home in Florida. David is beloved son of Ronald and Candace Hallett and the late Joan (Shartner) Murtiff, husband of the late Jeannie (Rivard) Hallett, and dear father of Michelle Melendez and her husband Marcial of Marshfield, Michael King and his wife Maybel of Las Vegas, David Hallett, Jr., of Stoughton, and Mark Hallett and his wife Linda of Rhode Island. Cherished grandfather of Stephen, Giuliano, Giana, Michael, Gabriel, Alex, Jackson and Madylin; great-grandfather of Jaeden, Michael III, and Titus. David also leaves his brothers, Mark Hallett of Maine and Christopher Hallett of Hawaii.

The world has lost a truly wonderful man. David was a kind, caring and generous man who never met a stranger; he befriended and helped all whom he came in contact with. David was a proud Firefighter and enjoyed his work with the Tuna fishing community; he was also a master Tow Truck Driver and loved all things auto mechanics. David was a rugged and tough man but also a loving and gentle Husband, Father, Grandfather, and Great-grandfather. He will forever live on in the hearts and memories of his family and will always be missed.

Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, June 25, 2017 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean Street (Rte. 139) Marshfield. Burial will be private.
